SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested after following a woman into an alleyway behind a Dollar General and sexually assaulting her at gunpoint.
Casey Weathered, 22, of San Angelo, was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department on Oct. 10, 2025, for aggravated sexual assault.
According to court documents, the investigator was called to the Stripes at 3925 South Bryant Boulevard for an aggravated sexual assault call. An officer met with the victim, who told him that she was raped at gunpoint in the early morning hours of Oct. 7, 2025.
An investigator then spoke with the victim, who said she was at the Dollar General at 509 North Main Street around 11:35 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2025. She said the store was closed, but she was charging her phone next to the ice machine. Then, the victim said she saw a vehicle driving back and forth in front of the store.
The victim got nervous and started to leave when the vehicle drove into the parking lot and followed her. She went behind the store to leave through the alley when the defendant, identified as Weathered, got out of his vehicle and continued to follow her.
Weathered then told the victim he had a gun. She turned around and saw Weathered had pointed a handgun at her. Then, Weathered forced the woman to perform two sexual acts at gunpoint before saying, “my bad, I shouldn’t be doing this,” then leaving the scene.
The investigator reviewed video at the scene and observed a black male in a white Hyundai Santa Fe get out of the vehicle and follow the victim behind the store. Minutes later, he returned to his vehicle and leave. The vehicle was able to be located because of a past report, and it was registered to Weathered. The investigator contacted Weathered and his wife, and the two agreed to meet with him at Denny’s, 427 West Avenue I.
Weathered’s wife was shown a still photo that was taken from the security video and identified the defendant as her husband, Casey Weathered. Then, Weathered was taken into custody and transported to the Criminal Investigations Division. He was read his Miranda Rights and agreed to speak with the investigator.
Weathered told the investigator that he followed the victim behind the store, pulled a gun out of his hoodie, and pointed it at the victim before forcing her to perform oral sex and raping her.
Weathered was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on Oct. 10, 2025, for aggravated sexual assault. As of Oct. 14, 2025, he is currently still an inmate being held on a $1 million bond.
