Healthcare Worker Busted with Lewd Images of Children and Bestiality

SAN ANGELO, TX — A healthcare worker and veteran has been arrested for possession of child pornography and bestiality.

James Fernandez, 31, of San Angelo, was arrested after investigators discovered numerous disturbing images on his phone.

According to court documents, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided a cyber tip that on Feb. 13, 2025, Kik Messenger, a social media app that allows users to chat with each other using a username instead of a phone number, reported to NCMEC an unknown person using the username “jesterjam94”, had uploaded three videos of suspected child pornography.

Kik Messenger provided the suspected child pornography in their report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and each video was about one minute long and has children between the ages of approximately 6 and 8 performing and posing in sexual activity with adults.

The cyber tip also provided information showing the child porn media files were uploaded using a certain IP address which is registered to Suddenlink Communications in San Angelo. Also, Homeland Security investigations had sent a subpoena to Suddenlink Communications for the subscriber information of the IP address.

Suddenlink provided that the subscriber was James Fernandez and gave his current address at an apartment complex in San Angelo. Also, an NCIS Special Agent informed the investigator that James Fernandez had enlisted in the US Army in 2019 and was medically discharged in 2022. It also provided a document titled, "'Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance Election and Certificate of Coverage," which shows in 2022, Fernandez was using the "jesterjam94" as an email address on official military records. 

Reviewing the messages for Kik user “jesterjam94,” Fernandez allegedly told multiple other users that he was a 30-year-old male, lives in San Angelo, and is a healthcare worker in the food services department.

The investigator then discovered an exchange with fellow Kik user “proudpops85," who had a sexually charged conversation with Fernandez about a son having sex with his mother.All three videos were sent by Fernandez to other users in the chat group “tabo_withoutlimits” on Feb 20, 2025. The investigator also located over 100 images and videos which depict bestiality, including one that promoted ways to have intercourse with dogs.

Fernandez was arrested on Sept. 22, 2025, and was released the next day on $150,000 bond.
