Victim Shot During Carjacking in Abilene

 

ABILENE, TX — A person was shot during a carjacking Saturday in Abilene.

The incident occurred just after midnight in the 1700 block of Kimble Street. According to the Abilene Police Department, the victim was shot during a robbery and later received medical treatment for their injuries.

Police said a truck was stolen during the carjacking but has since been recovered. The case is being investigated as aggravated assault, aggravated robbery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Abilene Police Department or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
