Man Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends on Houston Harte

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A stolen vehicle pursuit in San Angelo ended Wednesday afternoon on East Houston Harte Expressway when the driver stopped on an exit ramp and surrendered to police.

San Angelo police said the incident began around 1:46 p.m. Sept. 17, when officers located the stolen vehicle in the 200 block of North Koenigheim Street. The driver refused to stop, leading officers on a short pursuit that concluded in the 300 block of East Houston Harte.

The suspect, identified as Kobe Lozano, 25, was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 2:48 p.m. on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest with a vehicle, tampering with an electronic monitoring device, possession or delivery of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license, and a parole violation, according to jail records. His bond was set at $1,352.

Authorities said the vehicle was safely recovered. Police credited the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety for assisting in the incident.
