Glenn Middle School Student Disciplined for Bringing Toy Gun

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo ISD said a Glenn Middle School student was disciplined Tuesday after bringing a plastic toy gun to campus.

According to a message from Principal Clayton Hubbard, the toy gun was reported by students, confiscated, and secured by campus administrators. Disciplinary action was taken against the student.

The district said no direct threats were made but emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for anything resembling a weapon on school grounds.

Parents were asked to remind students about the importance of reporting unusual behavior and the consequences of violating district rules concerning weapons.

"Your partnership is important, and we want to keep you informed of events on our campus," information stated.

The San Angelo Police Department acknowledged the incident in a public post, directing families to the district’s safety page for details.
