All Three Suspects Involved in the River Pointe Apartment Murder in Custody

SAN ANGELO, TX— All three of the individuals involved in the River Pointe Apartment Murder are in custody.

Information released by San Angelo Police Department Public Information Officer Kelsey Hernandez states that all Justin Ramirez (17), Davon Lewis (17), and Dominick Garcia (16), have all been arrested.

The release says:

"The San Angelo Police Department can confirm that all individuals involved in the July 23rd homicide are now in custody.

We want to commend the outstanding work and dedication to our Criminal Investigation Division, Crime Scene Investigations Unit, Narcotics Task Force, and Special Operations Unit. Their relentless efforts played a critical role in ensuring those responsible were located and taken into custody.

We also extend our gratitude to the community for their continued support and cooperation throughout the investigation."

Justin Ramirez was arrested and charged with Murder after allegedly shooting Joe Angel Martinez III near the River Pointe Apartments at the intersection of Rio Concho Drive and Roosevelt Street.

On July 23, 2025, San Angelo Police responded to the 1000 block of Roosevelt Street to investigate the report of a gunshot victim. That victim, Martinez III, later died of his injuries. After the initial investigation, Ramirez was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail for Murder.

On July 25, 2025, San Angelo Police Chief Travis Griffith held a press conference to identify the other two teenagers, Davon Lewis, and Dominick Garcia, who were allegedly with Ramirez at the time of the shooting.

Now, according to the San Angelo Police Department, all three are in custody.
