Woman Arrested for Lewd Abuse of Child After Videos Found on Phone

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo woman has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a minor and having videos of the abuse on her phone.

Lizzette San Augustin, 19, was charged with sexual assault of a child.

According to court documents, on June 24, 2025, a San Angelo police officer met with a witness who stated that they believed a 15-year-old family member was engaging in a sexual relationship with San Augustin.

On June 25, 2025, the investigator spoke with a family member of San Augustin who said she was aware of a relationship between the two, and the family member was able to name the victim. She also stated that she rented a trailer to San Augustin and knew the victim was staying in the trailer. The family member stated she was unaware if they had engaged in sexual activity.

The trailer was located in the 1100 block of Mahon Avenue.

That same day, the investigator interviewed San Augustin by phone, and she stated that she never engaged in a sexual relationship with the child victim and even stated that she did not know the victim.

On June 30, 2025, the investigator spoke with another one of San Augustin’s family members who stated he stayed with both San Augustin and the victim during the month of June. He also stated he heard the two engage in sexual intercourse.

Based on this statement, a search warrant was issued to seize and search both San Augustin and the victim’s cellular devices due to the suspicion of evidence of child pornography and sexual assault of a child being on their cell phones.

On July 3, 2025, a search warrant was served to both the child victim and San Augustin. They both were located in the trailer in the 1100 block of Mahon Avenue. San Augustin located her phone in the bedroom, where a mirror was observed hanging above the bed.

On July 7, 2025, a forensic download of both devices was completed, and three videos depicting the child victim and San Augustin were located.

The videos were dated May 28, 2025, June 23, 2025, and June 24, 2025. Each video showed both the child victim and San Augustin engaged in sexual activity.

San Augustin was arrested on July 23, 2025, for sexual assault of a child and has been booked into the Tom Green County Jail, where she is being held on $100,000 bond.
