Test Drive Turns Into Car Robbery In West Texas

EL PASO, TX - A car salesman is asking for community assistance to identify and locate a suspect after being robbed at gunpoint.

The victim, a salesman from Car Lots LLC, met with a man apparently posing as a potential buyer at 500 Rubin Dr, El Paso.

After a brief test drive, the man pulled a gun on the salesman and ordered him out of the car. In the end, the suspect fled with a 2019 black, 4-door Chevrolet Silverado. Valued at over $19,000.

The unnamed suspect (shown) is still at large in West Texas. Shown to be a young Hispanic male, early 20s, slight mustache, half bowl cut and a lean build.

Crime Stoppers of El Paso is assisting the El Paso Police Department in seeking the public's help to identify the carjacker through their Crime of the Week initiative. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.cselpaso.org.
