San Angelo Man Charged With Inappropriately Touching a Child

 

SAN ANGELO, TX— A San Angelo man was arrested over the weekend due to allegations he touched a child in a sexual manner.

Mark Anthony Carrasco, 42, of San Angelo, was arrested Saturday, May 17, 2025, on a charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

According to court documents, an investigator was contacted by the San Angelo Police Department regarding a child who made an outcry of sexual abuse. The investigator interviewed the outcry witness who stated that Mark Carrasco made sexual contact with their genitals.

The child victim was transported to the Hope House, where the child was forensically interviewed. There, the child said they were woken up by Carrasco touching their genitals. The child made an outcry to the witness when Carrasco left the bedroom.

Carrasco was interviewed after being advised of his Miranda Rights and he denied touching the child inappropriately.

Carrasco is currently being held at the Tom Green County Jail on $100,000 bond.
