San Angelo Man Sentenced for Sexual Abuse of 3 Children

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man was sentenced to 30 years in prison Thursday for the sexual abuse of three children under the age of 14.

John Michael Anthony Gonzales, 31, was found guilty by a Tom Green County jury for crimes that occurred from Aug. 1, 2015 through Sept. 1, 2019.

He was initially arrested after being charged in March 2020.

“A jury of Tom Green County citizens heard the young women and held the defendant accountable,” stated a press release from District Attorney Allison Palmer.

“We applaud the bravery of the young women who had the strength to come forward and testify about the abuse. Their courage is an inspiration to us all. …. Our office remains committed to prosecuting child abuse and seeking to protect some of the most vulnerable members of our community, our children.”
