Christoval Man Indicted for Intoxication Manslaughter

BROWNWOOD, TX — A Christoval man has been indicted for intoxication manslaughter in connection with an October 2024 motorcycle crash that killed his wife northwest of Brownwood.

Andrew Peternell Vidovich II, 35, was indicted by a Brown County grand jury on a charge of intoxication manslaughter, according to a report made by KTXS12.

The crash occurred on FM 3021 when Vidovich, who was reportedly intoxicated, veered off the road while driving a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Both he and his passenger, 35-year-old Marti Jolene Vidovich, were ejected from the motorcycle.

Marti Vidovich was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Ted Perez just before 6 p.m. Andrew Vidovich sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was treated at Hendrick Hospital in Brownwood before being arrested.

The crash report from DPS confirmed that both individuals were wearing helmets and that weather and road conditions were clear at the time.
