Police Investigating Reported Robbery That Left Elderly Woman Unconscious on Rodeo Drive

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Police were dispatched to a reported robbery in progress Monday afternoon at a residence in the 4300 block of Rodeo Drive

The initial call came through around 5:30 p.m. After officers arrived on scene, Ladder 7 and Medic 7 were dispatched to assist an unconscious person found inside the home.

According to emergency radio traffic, the victim was an 80-year-old woman who was found unconscious, bleeding from the face, and experiencing labored breathing. Dispatch audio later indicated that the woman, described as a grandmother, had been assaulted during the robbery.

At least four police vehicles were seen with emergency lights activated near the intersection of Cox Lane and Rodeo Drive. Our reporter witnessed an ambulance leaving the scene.

No information regarding suspects or arrests has been released at this time.
