San Angelo Man Indicted for Continuous Lewd Abuse of Young Teenager

SAN ANGELO, TX— A San Angelo man has been indicted for sexually assaulting a child several times.

Ramiro Galvan, 31, of San Angelo, has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for one count of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child under 14, one count of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact, and two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child.

According to court documents, on December 5, 2024, the investigator viewed a forensic interview with a child victim. The victim stated when they were 12 years old, the defendant, identified as Galvan, sexually assaulted her.

Then, when the victim was 13 and in 6th grade, Galvan laid behind the victim and allegedly licked the victim’s neck. The victim could feel Galvan had gotten aroused.

On the victim’s 13th birthday, another assault occurred and multiple times after. When asked how many times, the victim stated, “a lot more than once” and “once it started it never stopped”.

On December 5, the same day, the investigator interviewed a witness who advised on December 2, 2024, Galvan was staying at her residence and when the victim discovered this, they became visibly upset and started to cry stating, “I can’t do it anymore”.

When the witness asked the victim if Galvan had touched them, the victim nodded yes. The witness asked if Galvan had sexually abused the victim, the victim said yes.

The investigator spoke with a special education counselor on December 6, 2024. The counselor said that on at an earlier date, the victim told her that Galvan attempted to sexually assault her again over the weekend, but the victim told him no.

The counselor also advised that the victim told her that they had been sexually assaulted by Galvan and when the victim was 12 or 13, the victim woke up in the middle of the night with something wet on their pants.

The assaults allegedly occurred from February 1, 2020, through February 13, 2023.

Galvan was arrested on December 10, 2024, and has remained in the Tom Green County Jail since, being held on $200,000 bond. He has a jury trial set for August 18, 2025.
