Convicted Felon Caught With Stolen Guns in San Angelo Police Raid

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant Monday in the 200 block of North Bishop Street, leading to the seizure of multiple firearms and the arrest of a convicted felon.

Investigators recovered seven firearms during the search, three of which were confirmed stolen out of the City of San Angelo. Steven West, 42, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

The investigation was led by the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigation Division, with assistance from deputies in the Patrol Division, the Special Response Team, the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the San Angelo Fire Department.

Authorities stated the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges or arrests may follow.

"The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office would also like to thank the public for the support and information that contributes to the success of the Sheriff's Office's ongoing efforts to combat crime within San Angelo and the Tom Green County area," information from the sheriff's office stated.
