Sheriff’s Office Search Warrant Leads to Drug Arrests, Stolen Vehicle Recovery

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A search warrant executed by the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 31 resulted in the arrest of two women and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

According to authorities, investigators seized suspected methamphetamine and evidence of drug distribution while searching a residence in the 700 block of West 17th Street in San Angelo.

Amanda Burney, 38, was charged with possession of a controlled substance of less than one gram. Phoebe Thomerson, 46, was charged with possession of a controlled substance between one and four grams.

During the search, investigators also recovered a stolen 2021 GMC Denali pickup that had been reported stolen out of Ector County.

The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division led the operation with assistance from the Patrol Division and Texas Department of Public Safety special agents.

Officials stated the investigation remains active, and additional charges or arrests may follow.
