SAN ANGELO, TX – Deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office apprehended three individuals early on January 14, 2025, after an investigation near a Howard Street convenience store led to the discovery of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded firearm.
The operation began when deputies identified a female with active warrants near the store. She was found inside a vehicle with two other occupants. During the investigation, deputies uncovered more than 30 grams of methamphetamine, over 4 grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia, and the firearm. One suspect attempted to smuggle narcotics into the jail, resulting in additional charges.

1. Avery Sanchez (24):
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance PG 1, 4g < 200g (28.92g Methamphetamine)
- Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon
2. Delaynie Savage (27):
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1, 1g < 4g (3.31g Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1, 4g < 200g (4.22g Heroin)
- Prohibited Substance/Item in a Correctional Facility
3. Emily Jones (25):
- Haskell County Warrant (Motion to Revoke - Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1g)
- City of San Angelo Warrants (6 counts)
"This operation underscores the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office's commitment to protecting the community through proactive policing and aggressive traffic enforcement," information from the sheriff's office stated. "Deputies remain dedicated to removing dangerous drugs, illegal weapons, and wanted individuals from our streets."
