San Angelo Man and Teen Arrested in Connection to Local Burglaries

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Two suspects, including a teenager, were arrested Monday morning following a string of burglaries that caused property damage and theft at two San Angelo businesses.

Police responded to incidents at Dollar General, 218 E. Avenue L, and Julio’s Burritos, 1911 S. Chadbourne. Surveillance footage linked the suspects, Jesse Capuchino, 18, and a 14-year-old male, to the crimes. Officers detained the pair after a brief foot pursuit and recovered stolen property.

Capuchino faces charges of two counts of burglary of a building, Class B criminal mischief, evading arrest, and resisting arrest. He was transported to the Tom Green County Jail and booked at 6:20 a.m. and is being held on a $23,000 bond. 

The 14-year-old suspect faces similar charges, including two counts of burglary of a building, evading arrest, resisting arrest, and failure to identify. He was referred to the Juvenile Justice Center.

The investigation remains ongoing.
