Three San Angelo Men Arrested After Simple Traffic Stop

 

SAN ANGELO, TX— Three individuals were arrested in San Angelo after operating a vehicle without headlights just after midnight on New Year's Day.

According to a released from San Angelo Police Sergeant John Bouligny, on January 1, 2025, around 01:35 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet van that was being operated without headlights.

Upon making contact with the vehicle's occupants, officers observed that all three subjects had masks in their possession. During the search of the vehicle, officers discovered marijuana and two firearms, which were linked to two of the subjects. One of the firearms was reported stolen in September 2024.

As a result of the traffic stop, the following individuals were arrested and charged:

  • Jose Montez (20): Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Possession of Marijuana, Minor in Possession (MIP) Tobacco, MIP Alcohol, Driving Without Headlights
  • John Postlewaite (19): Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, MIP Tobacco, MIP Alcohol
  • Lucas Garza (18): MIP Tobacco, MIP Alcohol

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
