Man Arrested After Fatal Shooting in Big Spring

BIG SPRING, TX – A 29-year-old woman was fatally shot on Dec. 27 in Big Spring, prompting an investigation and the arrest of a suspect.

Joansy San Pendo, 41, has been charged with murder in connection to the shooting. San Pendo fled the scene but was later located at a residence on Neil Road with assistance from the Howard County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested after Big Spring Police secured a warrant for his apprehension.

The victim’s identity has not been disclosed as authorities continue to notify family members. The investigation remains ongoing, according to police.
