Man Stabbed with Box Cutter During Altercation, Police Say

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A 45-year-old man was stabbed with a box cutter during an altercation in the 700 block of East Avenue K on Thursday afternoon, according to the San Angelo Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene just before 4 p.m. and found the victim with non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Shannon Medical Center for treatment.

The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Michael Zubiate, was located nearby and taken into custody without incident. Zubiate faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
