Texas First-Graders Wet Themselves After Restroom Privileges Revoked

CONROE, TX — Two first-grade students at Bartlett Elementary wet themselves after their classroom lost restroom privileges, sparking parental outrage and a district investigation.

This happened after the teacher revoked restroom badges, required for bathroom access when students misplaced them in the hallway. In a message to parents, the teacher apologized, explaining the decision was intended to reinforce classroom rules. The teacher assured parents the affected students would receive new badges.

Conroe ISD addressed the incident, confirming the teacher has been replaced temporarily while the situation is investigated. In a statement, the district said that the incident does not reflect the school’s commitment to a safe and supportive learning environment.
