Abilene Man Named December’s Most Wanted Sex Offender

ABILENE, TX — Raymond Lee Trejo, 35, of Abilene, has been named December’s Featured Fugitive in the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders program.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to his arrest if the tip is received this month.

Trejo is wanted out of Taylor County for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. In 2009, he was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds, Trejo has tattoos on his face, neck, chest, and arms, as well as scars on his head and right knee.

The reward is funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office and Texas Crime Stoppers, which offers cash incentives for tips that lead to the arrest of individuals on the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists. As of 2024, 44 fugitives have been arrested through these efforts, including 16 sex offenders and 10 gang members.

Tips can be submitted anonymously through the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
