Three Texas Teens Charged With Murder After Drive-By Hits Wrong House

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX — A mistaken drive-by shooting during a “juvenile feud” left a 52-year-old man dead, leading to murder charges for three Texas teens, police said Tuesday.

Brian Pence was shot in his North Richland Hills home last Wednesday night when a bullet pierced his bedroom window and struck him while he was in bed. He died hours later at a hospital. Police said the teens—ages 17, 18, and 19—targeted Pence’s house by mistake after getting the address wrong.

All three suspects, including Martin Mauricio Marquez Diaz, 18, and Anthony Zapata, 19, are charged with murder and will be prosecuted as adults. The suspects, who are from Fort Worth, were apprehended over the weekend with the help of surveillance footage and neighbor cooperation.

Police have not revealed details about the feud or the intended target.
