Man in Custody Following Police Activity in Fort Concho Area

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Heavy police activity in the Fort Concho area of San Angelo on Thanksgiving night ended with at least one person taken into custody.

This all began around 10 p.m. when San Angelo police and emergency personnel responded to a call in the 600 block of Baker Street.

According to scanner traffic, the incident occurred near the Hunter’s Run apartment complex.

San Angelo police searched the area and according to a bystander, a man was seen running on Spencer Street.

More than a handful of police patrol units were seen combing the area but eventually, medics were told to stand down, according to scanners. San Angelo police officers were also seen attempting to make contact with individuals in the apartment complex.

Then, around 10:50 p.m., scanner traffic indicated that law enforcement had taken an individual into custody at the intersection of Avenue M and South Irving Street.

San Angelo Police and DPS were observed at the scene.
