Four Illegal Gambling Businesses Targeted in Lake Brownwood Raid

 

BROWNWOOD, TX – Authorities executed search warrants on four illegal gambling establishments near Lake Brownwood on Friday, November 15, uncovering a network of operations violating Texas law.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, raided the Lucky Links Game Room, 777 Game Room, Friends Game Room, and Lucky Ducky Game Room, all located along State Highway 279. The investigation followed an undercover operation that revealed gambling activities at these locations.

Multiple arrests were made for charges including Gambling Promotion, Keeping a Gambling Place, and Possession of Gambling Devices, Equipment, or Paraphernalia. Additional charges stemming from the raids included the Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine weighing more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams) and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Patrons present at the time of the raids were issued warning citations and released. Sheriff Vance Hill stated that investigations are ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
