SAN ANGELO, TX— A San Angelo woman has been arrested for pointing a gun during a fight with her boyfriend.
Reba Osgood, 46, of San Angelo, has been arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Assault of a Date/Family/Household Member with a Weapon.
According to court documents, on October 19, 2024, San Angelo police responded to the intersection of Sweetbriar Drive and Parkview Drive for an unknown problem. Upon their arrival at the intersection, they located the victim and a witness. They then learned that an assault had taken place where a handgun was produced by the defendant, identified as Osgood.
The investigator was informed that Osgood had been located and detained at the intersection of Lindenwood Drive and College Hills Boulevard. Osgood was driving a vehicle in which a pink handgun was recovered.
The victim said that he and the witness were sitting in their vehicle at the Parkview intersection when Osgood, the victim’s girlfriend, drove by. She stopped her vehicle and approached the victim’s vehicle. A physical altercation between Osgood and the witness took place then Osgood turned her attention to the victim and began physically assaulting him.
Osgood pulled the handgun, pointing at both the victim and witness saying she would kill them both. Osgood returned to her vehicle and drove it near the victim before driving away. The witness corroborated what the victim told the investigator.
Another witness said to the investigator that he observed Osgood and the victim in the roadway and saw her strike the victim several times. This witness also said the victim was trying to get away from Osgood, who had gone back to her vehicle to retrieve the gun before leaving.
A San Angelo police officer said that the gun had been found on the passenger floorboard of Osgood’s vehicle.
After she had been Mirandized, Osgood allegedly admitted to being in an altercation with the victim and the first witness and also allegedly admitted to exhibiting the handgun.
Osgood was arrested on October 19, 2024, and was released on October 20, 2024, on $20,000 bond.
