Abilene Police Investigating Report of Weapon at Junior High

 

ABILENE, TX – The Abilene Police Department and Wylie Independent School District are investigating a report of a student bringing a weapon to Wylie Junior High School.

A school resource officer was called to address the situation and speak with the student. Authorities confirmed that the student had brought a weapon onto school property, but no threats were made toward other students, faculty, or staff.

Wylie ISD is working in collaboration with the Abilene Police Department as the investigation continues.

Officials encourage parents, students, and staff to report any suspicious activity or potential threats, following the “See something, say something” protocol.
