San Angelo Man Arrested on Child P0rn Charges Following Investigation

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office executed search warrants at two San Angelo locations on Wednesday, August 21, resulting in the arrest of a 57-year-old man on charges related to child pornography.

James Wilson, 57, was arrested at the scene and charged with four counts of possession of child pornography, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

The investigation began after the Sheriff’s Office received a Cyber Tip on August 6 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip indicated that Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) had been uploaded to a social media platform and stored online.

Authorities obtained search warrants for Wilson’s residence in the 100 block of Decoty Drive and his place of employment, both in San Angelo. During the execution of the warrants, sufficient evidence was gathered to warrant Wilson’s immediate arrest.

The case remains an active investigation, and additional charges may be filed as more information is uncovered.
