Woman Arrested for Beating Man with a Baseball Bat

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo woman has been arrested after beating a man with a baseball bat.

Christine Kimbele, 43, of San Angelo, was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after hitting a man with a baseball bat.

According to court documents, on August 14, 2024, Tom Green County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the 8000 block of North Grape Creek Road regarding a possible assault. When the deputy arrived on the scene, he spoke with the defendant, identified as Kimbele, who said she and the victim were arguing.

Kimbele said that the victim threw food items and a small stereo at her. She then pulled up her pants leg to show a several-day-old bruise.

The deputy spoke with the victim who stated said Kimbele came to his apartment with a baseball bat, and they began to argue. The victim then claimed that Kimbele hit him in the arm with the bat. He showed the deputy a fresh bruise on his arm that was consistent with being hit with a baseball bat.

After speaking with the victim, the deputy went back to speak with Kimbele who said she chased the victim with the bat but never struck him. She then went to retrieve the bat for the deputy.

Kimbele was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail and currently has a $30,000 bond.
