Abilene Police Investigate Homicide of 58-Year-Old Man

ABILENE, TX – Abilene police are investigating the death of a 58-year-old man found in a residence on the 900 block of Hickory Street.

According to the Abilene Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, after receiving a report of an unconscious male bleeding from the nose.

Upon arrival, police discovered the victim, identified as Kenny Dean Shurley, unconscious inside the home. Emergency personnel determined that Shurley was deceased.

The Abilene Police Department’s Major Investigation Bureau is leading the ongoing investigation.
