Big Spring Police Ask Public to Nail Down Valuables as 'Thief' Strikes Again

BIG SPRING, TX – The Big Spring Police Department is requesting assistance from the community in locating Brandon “Thief” Hayman, who is wanted for a series of burglaries and thefts.

Authorities have issued multiple warrants for Hayman, citing a range of crimes that include burglarizing vehicles and houses, and stealing cars. His victims reportedly include veterans and other hardworking individuals.

"We are also exhausted on the amount of reports Thief has generated," information from Big Spring/Howard County CrimeStoppers stated. "We have lost count of the warrants and cases we have on him but they include burglarizing vehicles, and houses and stealing cars. Thief is pretty good at hiding but is horrible at concealing his identity on the crimes he has committed."

Hayman is accused of stealing government documents, identification information, checkbooks, credit and debit cards, and enough tools to equip a construction site. The Big Spring Police Department advises residents to secure their belongings and property due to Hayman’s ongoing activities.

"The Big Spring Police Department also suggests nailing down any and all property owned while Thief is still out there," information stated. "Hammer down your house and lawn, cars, buildings, swimming pools, concrete slabs, etc., etc. cause Thief will try to steal it."

The police urge anyone with information on Hayman’s whereabouts to contact CrimeStoppers at (432) 263-TIPS (8477). Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the “P3 Tips” mobile application or at www.p3tips.com/1277.
