Man Arrested for Online Solicitation and Sexual Performance of a Child in Taylor County

ABILENE, TX — On Thursday, July 25, 2024, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sergio Chacon on charges of online solicitation of a minor and sexual performance of a child.

According to the sheriff’s office, Chacon admitted to paying a 16-year-old female victim for photos and requesting to meet up with her to pay for sex. He also confessed to having similar encounters with several other females whose ages are currently unknown.

Authorities are urging any additional victims of Chacon or individuals with information to contact the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office at (325) 674-1300.
