Vandalism at Coke County Pool Under Investigation

ROBERT LEE, TX — The Coke County Pool in Robert Lee was broken into and vandalized.

This happened during the early hours of July 5th when the Coke County Sheriff’s Office received a report and photos documenting the incident.

However, information stated that some of the mess had been cleaned up by pool attendees before the photos were taken.

Vandals ripped down and threw cameras into the pool, tossed chairs and bottles into the water, and even threw in hubcaps.

The lifeguard chair was pushed into the pool, causing scratches on the bottom of the pool. The extent of the damage to the pool’s operations remains unclear, and it's unknown if this vandalism will impact its ability to remain open.

The Coke County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident. Anyone with information that could help identify the person or persons responsible is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 325-453-2717.

In Texas, Criminal Trespass and Criminal Mischief resulting in damages of $2,500 or more is classified as a State Jail Felony.
