Texas Man Accused of Using AI to Remove Teen’s Clothes in Photo

CONROE, TX - The Montgomery County Precinct Three Constable’s Office arrested a 30-year-old Texas man for possession of child pornography.

The investigation began on May 15, 2024, when Constable Ryan Gable’s Human Trafficking Unit began an investigation involving the suspect identified as Roman Shoffner.

According to information from the Constable’s Office, Shoffner used an artificial intelligence program on his phone to alter a picture of a 17-year-old female by removing her clothing.

After the picture was altered, the image then depicted the 17-year-old female’s face but her body was completely nude from the neck down, the information stated.

Shoffner’s phone was seized and forensically analyzed.

During the investigation, Pct. 3 Detectives obtained enough probable cause to believe Shoffner created the picture of the 17-year-old female with intentions of possessing child pornography.

An arrest warrant was filed for Shoffner.

On June 28, 2024, Shoffner was located by law enforcement and arrested.

“Constable Gable’s Detectives remain dedicated to hunting down those who would choose to harm and exploit our children,” information stated.
