SAN ANGELO, TX— The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office has released information on a narcotics bust in San Angelo.
Information released by the said that on Thursday, June 13, 2024, as a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety jointly executed a search warrant in the 3000 block of Old Post Road, San Angelo, Texas.
During the execution of the warrant, Investigators located and seized a large amount of methamphetamine, suspected Fentanyl pills, Marijuana, Firearms, an illegal firearm suppressor, and U.S. Currency. The suspect, identified as James Freeland, 38, was arrested and charged with Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance >=200g<400g (F1), with further charges pending laboratory testing.
Investigators with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office & Special Agents with Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Divisions partnered together while working the investigation and the warrant itself was executed by the Sheriff's Office Special Response Team (SRT). Further assistance was provided by Customs and Border Patrol.
