Sheriff's Office: Investigation Nabs Illegal Alien In Graphic Child Porn Investigation

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - For the second time in two weeks, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office conducted a search warrant for the possession of child pornography.  

On April 16, 2024, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office received a CyberTip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children relating to the possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. The Sheriff's Office initiated an investigation and identified Carlos Beltran Montes De Oca as a suspect.    

Probable cause was established and on May 24, 2024, a search warrant was executed in the unit block of West 18th Street, San Angelo. Carlos Beltran Montes De Oca, age 29, was taken into custody and charged with six counts of Possession of Child Pornography. 

Numerous electronic devices were seized and remain to be forensically searched. Other evidence found during the investigation has established the suspect to be in the United States illegally.     

This investigation remains active and additional charges are expected.  

The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office remains steadfast in its resolve to actively investigate crimes of child exploitation. The Sheriff's office works to protect children by using the latest technology to track down and arrest some of the most profoundly evil predators online.
