SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has taken a plea deal for possessing a large amount of marijuana.
Eric Kolster, 47, of San Angelo, has accepted a plea deal for possession of between 5 and 50 pounds of marijuana.
According to court documents, on February 18, 2022, a probable cause was developed that said Kolster had a large quantity of marijuana at his residence located on the 200 block of West 2nd Street in San Angelo.
A search warrant was applied to search the residence and was authorized by 340th District Judge Jay Weatherby.
The execution of the search warrant found Kolster to have about eight pounds of marijuana that was located in several vacuum-sealed packages weighing about one pound each.
Digital scales and packaging material were also found as was U.S. currency consistent with the distribution for the sale of marijuana.
In exchange for a guilty plea, Kolster was sentenced to five years of probation with a 10-year suspended prison sentence along with a $2,500 fine and Kolster must pay $180 in restitution.
