Shooter Indicted for Attack on San Angelo Elementary School

SAN ANGELO— A San Angelo man has been indicted for shooting out the windows at Bradford Elementary School back in 2021.

Jake Louis Aguirre, 22, of San Angelo, has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for Criminal Mischief >=$750<$30K after he allegedly shot out windows and damaged Bradford Elementary School property.

According to court documents, on San Angelo police were dispatched to Bradford Elementary School, located at 2302 Bradford Street, on December 29, 2021, for a report of damage to windows and doors on the elementary school.

Officers learned that two subjects were walking around the grounds of the school and during that time, one of the individuals produced what was believed to be a BB gun or pellet gun and shot several glass panes on Bradford Elementary. These glass panes were affixed to windows and doors of the school.

An administrator at the school said that the subjects in the surveillance video was believed to be Jett Aguirre and Semaj Johnson.

Johnson was positively identified but never possessed the BB gun. The man believed to be Jett Aguirre was the individual who produced the weapon, aimed it at school property, and damaged the glass panes.

It was then brought to the investigators attention that Jett Aguirre was incarcerated on September 25, 2020, and was not free at the time to commit the acts so the male in the video could not be Jett.

Jett does have a twin brother who was identified as Jake Aguirre.

Investigators spoke with Johnson who allegedly confirmed that Jake Aguirre was at Bradford Elementary School when the incident took place. It was also confirmed that the gun used to commit the act was in fact a BB gun.

Jake Aguirre was positively identified when a return of his driver’s license was obtained and compared to the surveillance video.

Written estimates to the pecuniary loss totaled in the sum of $1,864.

Aguirre was booked into the Tom Green County Jail on January 13, 2022, and was released on February 7, 2022. He is next due in court on May 15, 2024.

Not a San Angelo man!! maybe a San Angelo male!!

Cmon SAL you giving these loser slugs to much credit.

So this is where the investigation budget money went. If he claims there were some Hamas kids inside the school, maybe he'll get a few billion dollars from the Feds and some missiles to replace his BB gun.
