Grape Creek VFD Needs Help Identifying Thief

GRAPE CREEK, TX - The Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department needs help identifying a man who broke into their building.

The suspect has been dubbed, “The Lake Gardens Bandit,” named after the old Lake Gardens meat processing plant, which houses the Grape Creek VFD.

It happened on May 9, at 11:27 p.m. when the unauthorized individual entered the building located at 8325 US HWY 87 N.

After realizing a hunting camera snapped a photo of him, he stole the camera and left the property.

The Grape Creek VFD said that they had recently mounted a hunting camera inside the building after a recent break-in at the building earlier this spring.

The unknown individual(s) who initially broke into the building removed copper materials from all of the interior and exterior electrical components.

If you have any information or can identify this individual, please contact the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office (325) 655-8111.
