Exclusive Details About the Criminals Arrested in Sheriff's Warrant Round-Up

SAN ANGELO, TX — For several days this week, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Texas Attorney General's Office conducted a warrant roundup focusing on felony arrest warrants and parole warrants.

The effort resulted in eight arrests including offenses such as Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Online Solicitation of a Minor/Sexual Conduct, Motion to Revoke - Robbery, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

We were aware of two incidents related to the operation. One happened May 7 on the side of US 67 near the detention center. There, a subject was seen on the ground in cuffs. A few days later, we were alerted of a heavy law enforcement presence in Eola in Concho County. The task force was looking for a subject with a warrant.

Arrested were the following individuals:

• Curtis Moore, AGG ASSAULT W/DEADLY WEAPON. Offense date was Jan. 28, 2022 and he failed to appear at his court hearing on Apr. 8, 2024 for a competency hearing prior to trial, according to court documents.
• Antonio Ortega, for a parole violation.
• David Saldivar, for a parole violation.
• Arturo Aguilera III, for a motion to revoke his probation in connection with a charge of ONLINE SOLICIT OF A MINOR SEXUAL CONDUCT and failure to register as a sex offender annually, according to jail records. He has a court hearing scheduled on May 15.
• Manual Alvarez Jr., for AGG ASSAULT W/DEADLY WEAPON on March 30, 2020 when he used his pickup to ram another vehicle while a woman was inside it in the parking lot of Lone Star Beef. His trial date has been reset many times and his bond was revoked as a new trial date approaches.
• Manuel Martinez, for EVADING ARREST DET W/VEH, where he led sheriff's deputies on a long chase through north San Angelo on Aug. 20, 2023.
• Eloy Fuentes-Zamarripa, where we discovered no county court records, and
• Noah Carson, for ROBBERY. He is accused of stealing an 18-pack of Michelob Ultra from a Stripes Convenience Store on N. Bryant by punching the store clerk as the clerk attempted to block his and his accomplice's exit with the beer. He told San Angelo police, "It wasn't supposed to go down like that. I just wanted free beer."

Sheriff Nick Hanna said the roundup ultimately is designed to protect citizens.
