SAN ANGELO, TX — The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, along with federal agencies, arrested a 37-year-old woman and seized a mass amount of methamphetamine on Thursday, April 4.
The arrest and drug seizure happened at the Roadway Inn Hotel, located at 2502 West Loop 306, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the operation, law enforcement executed a search warrant that led to the discovery of 8.5 ounces of methamphetamine and the arrest of Misty Walden.
Walden now faces charges of Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance, a first-degree felony, and Tampering with Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair, a third-degree felony.
This operation was spearheaded by the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division and supported by Deputies from the Patrol Division.
Furthermore, Special Agents from the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) played roles in the execution of the warrant.
“The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office would also like to thank the public for the support and information that contributes to the success of the Sheriff's Office's ongoing efforts to combat drugs and crime within San Angelo and the Tom Green County area,” information stated.
