Heroin Addicted Arsonist Indicted for Torching a Car

SAN ANGELO— A San Angelo man caught with heroin and stolen property has been indicted for starting a vehicle fire last October.

A Tom Green County Grand Jury indicted Raymond Blake Keele, 23, of San Angelo, for Arson.

According to court records, on October 21, 2023, Keele started a fire in a vehicle by igniting a paper license plate tag and had the intention of destroying or damaging the vehicle.

Then, on February 7, 2024, at the 2000 block of Junius Street, a San Angelo Police Officer stopped Keele for county warrants.

A search of Keele’s person revealed that he had 3.15 grams of heroin and was in possession of stolen property that belonged to Family Dollar. The heroin was field tested, and the result came back positive.

Keele was arrested on February 7, 2024, and has been an inmate in the Tom Green County Jail since, being held on a $255,444 bond. He is next due in court on April 16, 2024, and has a jury trial set for August 8, 2024.
