Career Criminal Indicted for Thieving Again

SAN ANGELO— A San Angelo man has been indicted for stealing a generator from Concho Power Equipment.

Ricky Arthur, 46, has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for Burglary of a Building.

According to court documents, on December 20, 2023, San Angelo police officers took information from Concho Power Equipment regarding a burglary. Reportedly, a subject made entry into the workshop area of the building and allegedly stole a red Honda Generator, valued at $1,299, then fled the area but not before security footage and still photographs were captures of a silver or grey colored vehicle.

On December 21, 2023, an anonymous tip and several posts on Facebook eventually named the defendant, identified as Arthur. A recent traffic stop conducted by the San Angelo Police Department involved Arthur and the vehicle from the security footage. Arthur had 14 other arrests related to theft and eight convictions.

Arthur was noted as a flight risk and a danger to the public after charges for evading and retaliation. He was arrested on December 30, 2023, and is currently an inmate in the Tom Green County Jail on $15,000 bond. Arthur is next due in court on May 21, 2024, for a status report hearing and has a jury trial currently set for August 5, 2024.
