SAN ANGELO, Texas—Law enforcement officials booked 22 individuals into the Tom Green County Jail since the last update on charges ranging from Assault Family Violence to Drug Possession to GJI Cruelty to Animals to Living in a Residence with no Electricity.

San Angelo Police arrested William Carthorne, 26, for GJI Cruelty to Non-Livestock Animals Kill/Poison/Serious Bodily Injury. He was booked into the TGCJ at 10:43 p.m. Thursday. He is being held without bond. Court records show Carthorne was arrested June 16, 2023 for holding a dog in the air by its leash and slamming it to the ground.
Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputies arrested John Custer, 47, after he took a plea deal in district court for three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Custer admitted to having sex with a child younger than 14. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison and began his sentence Thursday.
San Angelo Police arrested Stacy Garcia, 40, for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence and Occupying a Structure with no Electricity. He was booked into jail at 9:06 a.m. Thursday. His bond is listed at $752.00 on the no Electricity Charge. His bond on the Assault charge will be set later.
