Fatal Shooting Shakes River City Neighborhood

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX - A quiet evening in San Antonio turned tragic when a man lost his life in a shooting while changing a light bulb outside his residence. The shooting unfolded around 10 p.m. Monday at a home off Lake Crystal Street near U.S. Highway 87 East.

Robert Reyes-Rincon,33,  was changing a light bulb when, as per police reports, he was also engaged in a conversation with an individual inside a vehicle parked in front of his home. Suddenly, and without warning, a suspect in a silver or grey sedan opened fire, targeting the unsuspecting man and inflicting three gunshot wounds to his chest.

Despite the hail of bullets, Reyes-Rincon managed to escape into his house, where he called for assistance. First responders rushed him to the hospital in critical condition, fighting for his life. The severity of his injuries proved fatal and he succumbed to the gunshot wounds.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, leaving the community in shock and the authorities actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the event.
