Brownwood Man Charged with Murder

 

BROWNWOOD, TX — The Brownwood Police Department released a statement Monday afternoon detailing an incident that occurred on Sunday, Feb. 18, around 9 a.m. Officers responded to a residence in the 200b block of Bluffview Drive following a report of a deceased person. Upon arrival, officers initiated an investigation and sought assistance from the Criminal Investigations Division.

The inquiry evolved into a criminal investigation, leading to the arrest of 35-year-old Troy Lee Daniel, Jr., a resident of Brownwood. Daniel has been booked into the Brown County Jail on a charge of murder, with a bond set at $550,000. The deceased individual was identified as 31-year-old Nancy Jasmine Sanchez from Bangs. An autopsy has been ordered by Justice of the Peace Harold Hogan.

Acknowledging the impact on numerous citizens and families, the authorities extended sympathy to all those involved. The investigation is intricate and ongoing, involving collaboration between the Brownwood Police Department, Texas Rangers, and personnel from the 35th District Attorney’s Office. At this time, no further information will be disclosed.
