Local Man Indicted for Stealing Prescription Amphetamines from Wal-Mart

 

SAN ANGELO— A San Angelo man has been indicted for stealing prescription drugs from Wal-Mart Neighborhood pharmacies.

Gregory Eugene Wickwire, 28, has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for two counts of Theft of a Controlled Substance.

According to the indictment, on September 10, 2023, Wickwire allegedly stole less than $150,000 worth of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine from two different Wal-Mart Pharmacies. Wickwire is accused of stealing from the Wal-Mart neighborhood market located on 1825 Sherwood Way and 5154 Knickerbocker Road.

Wickwire was arrested on January 18, 2024, and was released the next day on January 19 ,2024. Theft of a Controlled Substance is a third-degree felony which carries a possible sentence of two to 10 years in prison and a possible fine of up to $10,000. Wickwire is due in court next on January 24, 2024 for post indictment reporting.
