San Angelo Man Arrested for Prolonged Prohibited Touching of a Child

SAN ANGELO— A San Angelo man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a child back in 2017.

Noe Fernandez, 54, has been arrested for Prohibited Sexual Contact and Sexual Assault of a Child after the minor made an outcry of abuse.

According to court documents, on January 3, 2024, the child was interviewed, and she said that when she was 15-years-old, Fernandez began to sexual abuse her and continued to do so until she turned 22.

The next day, a witness said that she was suspicious of Fernandez sexually abusing the child, but she never claimed any sexual abuse occurred until January 3, 2024. On January 10, 2024, Fernandez was overheard allegedly admitting to sexually assaulting the child on January 26, 2017, but he denied having ever said such a thing.

Fernandez was arrested on January 12, 2024, and was released on January 14, 2024, on $200,000 bond.
