Man Shot Inside Own Car on New Year's Eve

 

FORT WORTH, TX — On New Year’s Eve, a man died in Fort Worth after being discovered shot inside his car according to the Fort Worth Police Department. Currently, no arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.

Law enforcement officers were summoned Sunday morning to the 5700 block of Eastland Street, near Interstate 820, in response to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, police located a victim of gunshot wounds inside a vehicle, officials stated.

The man, identified as 34-year-old Deandre Dotson according to records from the Tarrant County medical examiner, was swiftly transported to the hospital. Regrettably, Dotson succumbed to his injuries.

The medical examiner's records cited the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head. As the investigation continues, authorities have not announced any arrests for the case.
