Texas Flight Carrying Illegals to New York Diverted by Bad Weather

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A plane carrying migrants en route to New York's JFK International Airport was diverted to Philadelphia late Tuesday due to adverse weather conditions.

Laila Sadat, a spokesperson for Philadelphia's city administration and Mayor Jim Kenney, confirmed that an Eastern Airlines flight originating from Texas made an unexpected landing in Philadelphia. It is believed that some or potentially all passengers aboard the flight were migrants.

"We are actively engaged in facilitating their journey to their final destination," Sadat stated in an email response.

Flight tracking data from FlightAware revealed that the aircraft, scheduled for New York, took off from El Paso slightly after 1 p.m. on December 26. The flight trajectory indicates the plane initially flew towards New York before altering its course southward, touching down in Philadelphia at approximately 7:31 p.m.
